Greetings everyone, this is our new year devlog. First of all we hope you’re going to have a glorious year in 2018!Now let’s talk about what we’ve planned for you this time.
We decided it would be appropriate if we could show more about the game.First of all you might have noticed the OST have been updated, and some have been removed. The reason of that is we decided to delete most of the songs created by Xalia and Palodia since they’re no longer in the team.
Second of all, let’s talk about the characters themselfes. We’re going to discuss few characters’ placement, role, and design.
Frisk:
Frisk is still our main protagonist and remained genderless, therefore we still can Frisk by “them”. For the design, Frisk is now wearing a Purple Hoodie with light stripes, Blue Jeans and Brown Boots. Their sprite has gone through many changes, see the end result.

We prepared a Christmas Concept art for Frisk, originally it was planned to be shown in the late Christmas Devlog, but it got delayed.

Chara have been revealed in a previous Devlog, aswell as their story in the description. But we’ll gladly show you the final product of their sprites too.
As you could tell, Chara is wearing a cape and their heart locket, under the majestic dress they’re wearing dark clothes, on their hands and legs Red Gloves and Red Boots.

I’m affraid we cannot show anything else about the characters for now, but there are 2 things we’ve been saving for you.
First of all, the tileset and design of the first entrance in the Dungeon.

This tileset has gone through so so many changes, and we are proud of the end results. We hope you like it :)
And to close the devlog, there is just 1 new thing we are excited to show you.
The new battle system and backgrounds!

As you can see there are 2 profile boxes on each sides, 1 with Frisk, during battle their expression changes when they get hurt/level up/spare/run away. Similar thing with the encounters, if there are multiple monsters in the area, the box remains blank until you select a target, and their expression changes when they get hurt/killed or when they become sparable.
Another fun fact about this system is the battle box and the monster in it actually gets pussed around a bit when you hit the target successfully. Allow me to show you an example .
