Hello everyone! Happy March!! A lot has been going on behind the scenes, along with some releases during last month! I don't have a lot of new things to talk about, but I will try to discuss what I can! :)


Patch Update 1.3 released!

Gift Patch 1.3 was launched in February, and was met with a lot of praise! ...And unfortunately, a lot of bugs. THANKFULLY, I managed to get them managed and in control! ...Well, the game breaking ones at least LOL.

If it wasn't obvious already, there won't be any new updates for Chapter 1. 1.3 was the last one, and my priorities were moved back to working on Chapter 2! That's basically all I have to talk about. If you haven't played since launch and want to start Chapter 2 right as it drops, I recommend playing again so you can have a save file ready!

NPC Submission Contest Take Two

We recently opened up the NPC Submission form once again so we can add more NPC's to Nexitron City! (and definitely not cause we ran out and needed more lol) we've managed to get a LOT of submissions already, and I've managed to create 2 sprite sheets of submissions already!

"The Deep Forest" is now publicly available!

That's right! The platformer released in Update 1.3 is now public!! You can find it in the official Nexitron list, as well with the level ID Below!

ID: 134660588

If you didn't know, public releases do not have the RPG codes in them, so you'll still have to play the RPG versions to get the codes!

Alright, now let's get into the newest additions!


This Month's Additions

Not a lot was added this month, due to the focus on 1.3, and being occupied with fixing the bugs, but here is what HAS been done since then!

Most of the music and all of the achievements have been added!

Most of the music has been added to the game, and the achievements have been added too! There's a good amount of them throughout the game, I believe it's slightly over how many are in Chapter 1.

New Map kiosks found in Nexitron City!

New kiosks can be found around Nexitron City! Interacting with these around the city will pull up a map of the whole city! This was added as a requested feature to help you navigate around the map! I had no idea on how to integrate it into the game without adding a whole map plugin, but thankfully my big brain came up with the perfect method! And I must say I am happy with it.

The "skeletal structure" for Chapter 2 is half complete!

That's right, the first half of Chapter 2 is (structurally) complete! I was hoping to have the whole chapter done, but unfortunately some things got in the way, but that's okay! I plan to finish up the second half either today or tomorrow! (and if not, it'll be done this month) This does NOT mean the whole Chapter will be done btw! Just the bare structure will be made, after that we'll finish the art, revise the story, and make sure everything works! I'm trying to work a little differently this time to avoid the issue of having a ton of bugs. Of course, some things slip through the cracks, but It's best to try and minimize it as much as possible!

After the skeletal structure is finished, I plan on going through a bunch of testing to make sure everything is good!

The goal is to have the RPG side of Chapter 2 99% complete by the end of this month! Let's hope we can get there so we can start making the levels in April! OH!! And before I go, there's a decision I want to discuss that I almost forgot to write about!


A slight change in plans

I discussed it a little bit on the discord but I wanted to talk about my decison a little more. Don't worry too much though, this isn't a delay, if anything, it's kind of the opposite!

I discussed that I wanted to split Chapter 2 into 2 updates. 1 focused on the main content, and the other focused on extra content!

So here's the plan. Chapter 2 (or Update 2.0) will contain the entirety of Chapter 2. Both story and levels. It'll also feature 1 or 2 side levels. Whether it's platformers or challenge levels, has yet to be decided. But that will be Update 2.0.

Update 2.1, will feature the remaining platformers and Challenge levels that weren't included in Chapter 1 and 2. After fixing the schedule, this new plan reduced the release window from November-December (After GTA 6 btw) to August-September!! WAYYYY quicker release date!! I decided I will be going through with this plan, as it gives out more content that you guys can enjoy overtime. And if anything needs fixing in the RPG, I can always add it in these content updates post 2.0! I'm really hoping I can finish everything in time. I really want to get this out to you guys as soon as possible! But of course, game development takes time, and I'm doing my best to get the next chapter done! I have big plans and I hope you guys are just as excited as I am!


What's next?

TONS AND TONS OF WORK!!! I don't plan on doing a lot of talking much this month, I just want to get things done!


I wish I could share more, but alas, secrets still need to be kept..

Gift Patch 1.3.3 is available now! This is the final patch for the update! There will be no further updates until Chapter 2. Happy Valentines Day everyone! :)

Emergency Patch 1.3.1 is available now! Sorry about the mishap folks!

Changed a few quick things that were needed. If you'd like to transfer your save file, the manual provided explains how to do it! Happy Gaming! :)
