These are the things required to be applied as a moderator;
• Your Username, WITHOUT "@"
→ This will make adding your name without the need to rewrite everything or having to add an "@" easier, especially when you have a really complex username and/or your username is not really rewritable.
• Your experience in moderation (Game Jolt only)
→ To make things more organized and to avoid vandalism or abuse or power, we need to see your experience in moderating a community, either your own community or any other community, either small, medium or large in amount of users.
Simply, just write how many months or years have you been moderated since. The more experienced you are in moderation, the higher the chance you will be accepted as a moderator.
• The communities you currently moderate/own
→ This one is to look which community you are moderator of. For this, we can decide to either not let you get pressured for moderating a lot of communities, except if you actually want to moderate a lot of communities. Please note that you don't need to include the communities you FORMERLY moderated, only the ones you currently moderate.
If you currently don't have any communities you moderate as of now, you can just say "none" or something like that. You can also include communities you own, such as your own fan community.
• Reason to moderate (optional)
→ This is obviously optional, but we like to see a reason you want to moderate this community. Any reason to moderate this community is allowed, as long as it's not vandalism or abuse of power.
To become a moderator, please note that you might need these:
Mastered at least 70% of English: Other than mastering your native language (typically Malay or Indonesian), you have to master at least majority of English. This is to make moderating easier, and some content or important questions might be in English without translation.
Must be at least 13 years old: This is a requirement as we are aware of underaged users on Game Jolt. To avoid abuse of power due to underaged factor, we only accept users at least at the age 13 OR if you're turning 13 the year you're applying for moderator.
Following both Community and Game Jolt Guidelines: This means of course, you got to follow the rules of Malaysian Central community, and Game Jolt Community Guidelines. Not doing so will automatically reject your application.
[More coming soon]
By applying to become a moderator, you understand that you still have to follow the guidelines of the community and platform. And if you're a moderator, breaking a serious rule will result in removal of your moderator rights in this community, either inside the community, around Game Jolt or outside the community. If we caught you owning a community dedicated to hate and attack on a certain innocent user or community, we will BOTH remove your moderator rights and block you from posting in the community unless you take quick action.
Thank you for reading and good luck!
