Taken from a recent Twitter/X post from the current Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim;
Happy Independence Day! Even though this was posted LATE at night, it's still August 31st when we published this... Right?
Anyways, starting casually, how's the day? What do you think of the parade at the morning of the day, and which part do you like the most? For me, it's really great but feeling a bit too short for an amount of time nearly similar to previous year's parade. My favourite is the one with helicopters, too.
The artwork for this newspost is a little bit rushed, since there's no actual full shading (despite the SLIGHT consistency). Although this is kind of better than the previous one in terms of design and background. Not sure why I pick a stylised suit, though... (I TOTALLY didn't watch Merdeka Fashion Shows by school students and gave up on designing a special traditional attire, seriously, I DON'T LIE)
Note for The Community
In any circumstances, we do not accept citizen/ethnicity wars of two nations, especially "Malaysia VS Indonesia". This includes accusing each other for stealing cultures (instead, educate them in a polite, non-biased manner), name-calling ( "dasar Konoha" for example), etc. Remember, we're from the same origins, Nusantara and Austronesian. There's a reason why we decided to add an Indonesian channel in the community.
Regarding real-time issues;
We allow awareness of the genocide happening in Palestine to be posted here, as it is a humanitarian issue rather than political or religious ones. However, please post it in general channel (for images) and videos channel (for videos) unless it is a work dedicated for Palestinians. However, we never condone Zionism in the community, as majority of Malaysian are pro-Palestine, alongside the goverment itself.
Other awareness issues can be posted ONLY if it's on a neutral side. We do not allow resentment towards one side or the other (we know jerk victims exist, but they're still people), or if it's including our nation, not allowing others to enter it (see regarding nationalism below.). We will never allow any racism or xenophobia whatsoever.
For racism and xenophobia, it is only allowed if it's for educational purposes (May 13th incident for example).
And while we allow patriotisme in the community, nationalism is NOT allowed on the other hand. This includes "overpride" (thinking Malaysia is superior) or claiming the country is number one in everything (no, we're just number 1 in cyberbullying). Respect everyone, regardless of nationality, ideology and identity.
It you need to know the simple differences between patriotism and nationalism, check this image below.
I hope you had a good day/night, and see you in the next Malaysia Day newspost! We plan to add up history of what happens before, during and after the formation of Malaysia, which is when Sabah and Sarawak joined Malaya Federation (also dubbed Malay Archipelago in modern society) to create a nation in 1963.
