It's not that I've been working on it super hard behind the scenes or that I've lost motivation; the answer is a bit more specific. Basically, I made a trailer for Malos' TRTF 1 a few months ago to be included in the TRTF 11th anniversary. I didn't realize how long it would be until the anniversary, so I decided to wait for it to come out first. Having the game release before its trailer would just be weird & might even have it removed as a result.
I'll admit, I probably should have just finished it and not included it in the anniversary, or just continued working on it and released it when it was finished regardless of the anniversary. But this is how things ended up, and since I've already waited this long, I might as well see it through.
The long wait has had its benefits though. I've had a lot of time to think and I've decided that the rest of the Malos' TRTF series is going to be more charming and classic than Malos' TRTF 1.
Playtesters so far have mostly liked the game. One of them (my friend Disamol) did talk to me about some flaws in its gameplay, but I've decided I'm just going to finish the game as is. I don't want to make you all wait any longer than you already have. The game could be better, but it's fine as is. I'd imagine its rating would be around a 7 to 8 out of 10 (atleast I hope).
I do plan on remaking this game sometime after it's released, and I apologize for saying that, as I already said the same thing for TRTF 4. I don't want to constantly say "Oh, don't worry, I'll remake it" every time I release a game in this series. That's why I can promise you that the next one (Malos' TRTF 2) will be exactly what I want it to be.
I will make sure the next games are always exactly what I wanted with no exceptions, so I won't have to go back and say I'll remake it every time.
I've also been readjusting the story a bit to hopefully make it better. For those who think this project has fallen into one of those "dev doesn't show much progress via screenshots and then it gets canceled" traps, I can assure you that Malos' TRTF is not one of them. To prove this, I have updated the game's page to finally include gameplay screenshots, something I should've done a long time ago.
Anyway, that's all for now. Hopefully, I'll see you all again soon.
I ain't reading all of that:
I made a trailer for this game to be included in the 11th anniversary of trtf, so im waiting for that to happen before I finish it. I will also make the next games way better than this one interms of being exactly what I wanted instead of slowly losing what it was supposed to be overtime.
