Okay writing this here real quick so I don't forget. What if the afterlife isn't the afterlife at all, but is actually just a massive database of personalities?
A common argument by atheists trying to disprove the afterlife, is that people who are revived after a temporary death have no memory of the afterlife. I think there's an easy way to explain this. They don't remember the afterlife because they didn't go to one. Consider Star Trek transporters. They copy your matter, killing you in the process, and paste a duplicated version of you elsewhere. Real you is dead, the new guy is just a clone with all your memories.
What if that's what happens when you die? Your thoughts, feelings, personalities are all copied to an immaterial zip file, and then unpacked into Heaven, or Hell, or into a cow somewhere.
Imagine now that after this process, you are revived. You still have all your memories leading up to your demise, but nothing after.
The reason for this is that you now have two forms. One spiritual, one physical. Both have all your memories, but only one has memories from after your death.
So the real question here is, which one is the real you?
Consider the law of firsts. (First=original=real). This principle would mean that obviously the physical you is the real one. Is the physical you the same before and after death? It's either
1) Physical
2) Spiritual
Or
1) Physical
2) Spiritual
3) Physical
In the latter scenario, there are two physical versions of you, before and after demise. In this case you could make the argument that spiritual you is the real one.
However, it could also be that the real you (physical 1) is still dead.
