Hi everyone! At long last this long awaited patch is ready and available for download! To say there's a lot this patch introduces would be an understatement. The amount of content this update is extremely extensive and marks this update as the definitive version of the game before v1.2 (unless something here breaks...obviously).
There's a lot to cover (like....a lot a lot), so I'll jump to the change log!
New options have been introduced. This includes:
An option to make the jumpscare volumes quieter.
An option for an easing effect for the parallax scrolling.
A new buffer that makes it so toggling the camera during its flipping animation will automatically flip it back down.
Power and Oxygen values are now calculated every frame (still independent of FPS). This should make these values a lot more accurate and responsive to in-game actions.
Oxygen now has a cap for decreasing. This prevents an issue for Yenndo noticeably where Oxygen would continue to drain even when they are sent away (this was happening because they were causing the Oxygen to drain so fast that the actual stat was still needing to catch up).
This may get changed a bit if it ends up nerfing the game too much.
Fixed an issue where PC times were being submitted even if the night in question was not PC.
Fixed an issue where dual monitor setups would break the flashlight.
Disabled the Perspective effect automatically in Flashlight mode.
P. Foxy's eye would not align properly with Perspective enabled, so its just easier to have it turned off.
Several SFX volumes have been adjusted. This includes:
Bidybab's vent attack que (louder).
The breathing SFX for the mask (quieter).
Funtime Freddy's voice lines (important lines remain the same, non-important lines are quieter).
Perfect Cacophony's BGM (a touch louder).
Doors are now hold bufferable (a change introduced in FNAF 1 SCN that I think fits even better here).
Door animations are now faster in Hyper (also introduced in FNAF 1 SCN).
The camera toggle has been reworked to work a lot better for those that wish to use the keybind/mouse hover combo. The new buffer should make this even better too.
Yenndo.
Yenndo's check for entering the office is now a 1-20 from a 1-25. This essentially means they will appear more but its always consistent instead of being random.
Yenndo's eyes are now visible in Flashlight Mode.
Yenndo now properly leaves from a quick flip every time instead of being weird and not working sometimes (finally, i fixed it for real...i swear).
Withered Bonnie.
Hyper W. Bonnie on a successful move at a closed door will instead wait for the door to open to enter immediately instead of being stalled until his next interval.
W. Bonnie's stare timer (the thing that decreases when the mask is off while W. Bonnie is in the room) has been reworked and now properly accounts for framerates.
As a result, there is now less time the player has to flip the mask on before W. Bonnie kills, thus making this a buff. Figured this was a good balance for him being better with cycles.
Freddy now accounts for 0ff. This means he will not advance a stage if the camera is 0 framed, which may make him better to deal with for cycles.
Hyper Baby now immediately kills you if you run out of time against her. Makes for better visual clarity.
Phantom Foxy's graphic now immediately vanishes if the camera is flipped up while he is fading away.
Phantom Foxy no longer breaks the oxygen if he gets you with infinite oxygen enabled.
Patch notes are now displayed as an infotext if the version number in the menu is hovered over (FNAF 1 SCN stuff aaaaaa).
The code in general has been restructured so game feel and presentation should be a bit better in general.
And there we have it! This update has been a long time coming and should make the game feel much more polished! All of these changes were originally gonna be for v1.2 but considering the scope of that update I thought it best to get all the good QOL stuff out first.
On that note, this essentially means there's only one thing being planned for v1.2 at the moment, and its something quite a few people have been waiting for a while now. I'm not starting work immediately as I wish to take a dev break after this (and FNAF 1 SCN v2.0.2). I will make an announcement when the time is right. It will take some time to happen. That is all.
Anyways, hopefully you all enjoy the update! And to those who have already completed the Max Modes I still consider those completions legit so you don't really have to worry about rebeating it or whatever (unless you just feel like trying it out anyways). The only real buff would be on W. Bonnie but even then judging from all the completions I've seen it would not really affect them in any way. The timing is still generous it was just far more generous than it should've been.
Next will be FNAF 1 SCN v2.0.2 and then it's gonna get a bit quiet here for a while. When the time comes I hope to see you all on the other side.
For now, have fun!!
