Peace Keeper will take longer than expected. I'm sorry.


Hi everyone, so I thought I’d be able to get this done with the extra time I’d had but after some talking to my girlfriend I’ve decided to basically delay it without giving any proper date at this time.

Now, as a sorry for all this, I have a little bit of a teaser here.

I’m stressed.

Okay, so recently I’ve been super stressed out and it’s all thanks to trying to get this update finished for the 28th. I’ve been really worried that I wouldn’t be able to reach expectations or that it wouldn’t be polished on release etc.

I just would like to clarify, I am pretty much doing every piece of voice work for this update, so it’s taking some sweet time simply because I don’t have much range in my voice. For people unaware I did Matthew’s voice, Krug’s voice and a couple other little voices for the original game. I’m treating this update as more of a gift, of course the whole game was free and I don’t intend of charging for it for obvious reasons but my point is that I was never going to make an update to this game at all, never ever crossed my mind. I’m simply afraid that once this update is complete, the original game might be a bit hampered because of it.

Here’s what I’ve got to do in the space of 96 hours:

  • New ending(s)

    • Voice lines for said endings

    • Possible 3D graphics

  • A ton of voice work

  • Something very new, can’t say what.

  • Possible little easter eggs here and there.

  • Configure the INI so that the original game isn’t bust. This would also include new INI values.

  • Polish up new graphics

  • Bug fixes, loads and loads of bug fixes.

This is everything of the top of my head.

As for things I’ve already done:

  • I’ve nearly finished revamping the entire main menu to make it easier to access Hardcore mode.

    • Other little adjustments for polish

  • All Hardcore A.I levels are complete. (This was definitely the biggest thing to get done so I focused on that before anything else. There’s still adjustments to be made that doesn’t involve changing A.I levels.)

  • New sounds and music. (Still a few more things to go but most are complete.)

Full notes for these things will be ready on launch.

As for the actual delay.

I have no set date this time, I find that release dates just stress me out at the moment so I’ve decided to remove the whole idea of a release date for now. I don’t want anyone setting up expectations but I’m hoping to have it ready by the end of next month, I’m fairly certain I’ll be able to do that but I’m not keeping any promises. I’m sorry that I keep disappointing people who may be interested in this and I promise I won’t be doing anything like this with the second MST gift.

Next up

Still fairly work in progress but happy with what I've made so far.

Gamejolt compression sucks though. :(

Not ready to show the game yet but I thought I'd at least leave you all with this in the meantime. (There's no actual private tech test going on at the moment.)

There is a page in the works but I have no idea when it'll be ready.

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
