Project Knightsopod is an upcoming original game of mine featuring a vast, open world, many species of playable and non-playable insects, exploration and action, and more! The game takes place in the realms of Hinterhof, a flourishing world of anthropomorphic bugs and other species. Magic flows through the the lands' veins, deep underground in the caverns. Many kingdoms of bugs — formed by one or more species — inhabit the lands and seas, living in peace with one another. Well, mostly; despite all that, there's also a force of malignance, seeking to infest the realms with its evil influence. That is, unless, a courageous lil' bugger seeks a long journey to stop those forces... Or will they choose evil?
Gameplay-wise, here's what's in store currently:
Many playable species of bugs and others, such as isopods, axolotls, ants, moths, butterflies, beetles, etc.
Unique classes based off of strength, magic, defense, and agility
A large, vibrant, fantasy world full of exploration and adventure awaiting thee, filled with diverse biomes, towns, kingdoms, and dungeons
A story driven by you, the player, or you could play casually without a major narrative; either way is fine and included
Hack and slashing through enemies and other buggers
Bosses and enemies ranging from dragon-like birds, fungi necromancers, Malign Ants, flies, etc.
An arsenal of weaponry and magical trinkets to aid thee in combating said enemies and to protect the world of Hinterhof
A variety of helpful (and dubious) lil' buggers accompanying thee on thy adventure
Possibly 2–4 player co-op, maybe even PvP if that's included
A distant, vigorous journey awaiting thee
And there could be more to come, but who knows? (Me.)
With that being said, are you excited for this new, original game I've came up with? Or should I stick to fangames? Additionally, what should be the proper name for Project Knightsopod? (This is the democracy part, by the way.)
Anyways, stay tuned for more info, concept art, and more!
