I've been setting an alarm for an hour, falling asleep, waking up, watching my computer like a mother with her baby stuck sleeping in a tree, while fishing, oh and also while playing pong.
Thank goodness that's finally over.
Anyway, do enjoy the new update! It's nothing super massive or anything, but in my honest opinion it certainly does give the game a fresh feeling. A lot of care and patience went into this, and hopefully you guys will enjoy all of these features and changes!
@JollyGiant64 and @MikeGamer023 did amazing with the new voices and I'm very happy with how it all turned out in the end! I actually do the breathing sounds for Mark, but also I voice the CEO for Cook Robotics, and I'll be honest with you, I am no voice actor, but I tried my best at doing a voice like that and I'd say I did pretty fine!
And with that out of the way, onto the changelog, which there are 29 fixes/changes/additions, combined!
-FIXES
Fixed an issue that allowed other characters to jumpscare the player while another is already doing so.
Made further improvements on how the nights load.
Fixed an issue where the player could still interact with the gallery menu while switching back to the main menu.
Fixed it so Mark's finger no longer clips through the mask during the Night 5 ending cutscene.
Fixed the oversight in the Night 5 cutscene.
-CHANGES
Changed the amount of time it takes to switch screens on the main menu.
Changed the lighting on the main menu to make it brighter.
Changed the monitor button to be the spacebar instead of the W key.
Changed it so the vents are closed by double clicking the said vent camera button instead of being closed with the A key.
Changed some of the HUD during gameplay.
Changed it so the desk fan has a smoother transition when turning on and off.
Replaced the text-to-speech voices with real voice acting.
Changed the breathing sound when wearing the mask.
Made some incredibly minor adjustments to some models in the office.
Changed it so the cameras only glitch when some animatronics move on or to a camera being viewed by the player.
Changed the entire level selection screen.
Made some volume adjustments to various sounds and music tracks.
Gave Captain a 30 second cooldown at the start of any night he is active so he doesn't attack as quickly.
Made the random texts that appear when loading up a night more common.
Greg now activates at 1 AM during Night 4 rather than 12 AM.
The clock's minute hand now moves every second, showing how much time is left until the next hour.
-ADDITIONS
You can now pick up the note on the office desk.
Added a new sound for Mark when he activates on Night 6.
Added a golden Greg statue that appears on the office desk after 100% beating the game.
Added it so loading screens appear when loading up the main menu after beating a night/watching a tape instead of it just being a black screen.
Greg and Anthony are now animated in the office.
Added a new sound that plays when starting a tape.
Added text that appears at the start of a night.
The hall lights now stay on for one second longer than before.
And of course, with any update, even if this one was tested to completion three times and other features tested countlessly more, there still could have been something that slipped away from the radar. Please let me know if you run into any issues if you spot them!
And while I will give you the instructions on how to get your save data back, I HIGHLY recommend you play through the game again just to experience all the new features and all that good stuff. Plus, there is a new "0" added to the save data document, which is used for the golden Greg statue. If you for whatever reason want your save data kept, then just follow the instructions here. Just remember to make all of the zeros into ones.
Working on this update really gave me a refresher on a lot of things and I seriously can't wait to share what else I have in store in the future!
Have fun!
