How's it going everyone?
Another week, another update. I have a few things to talk about today, but not much that I can outright show. Should still be interesting though! But first...

POPGOES Evergreen:
Last week I told you that Alexis, one of our modellers, had recently finished an accurate model of BB, but that we had not finished his "False" variant. Well I'm happy to say that, in only a few days, False BB was fully realised in 3D, and his "middle stage" was also completed by Odium.
When this model was completed, I showed off some screenshots of reactions from the dev team from Discord:
But some eagle-eyed fans noticed something off about the background, brightened it, and discovered this:
Well done to those who figured this out, haha. This is a very small sneak peek at False BB's model/design. Be aware that I won't be showing more of False BB, or any of the other Falses for that matter, for a while. But I'm VERY happy with how False BB looks and how positive the reactions have been inside the team, so I couldn't help myself but give a little something to you guys.
I've been scouring the community for a fitting addition to the development team; someone who can help with environmental models/decorations for the post-night sections of the game (where you'll find the False animatronics). I've done a couple of tests with a few people and I think I've found someone suitable! I won't announce anything yet because it's not 100% final, but the person I'm considering released their own FNAF fangame in 2021 which I was very impressed by. And that reminded me of how many contributors we have on Evergreen's team who already made their own great fangames: Emil Macko with FNAC obviously, but also Garrett McKay with Fredbear & Friends, and Vitch with The Web of Cogs & Oil. I recommend all of these, by the way.
Emil and I have continued working on some base programming stuff for the post-night section. Man, it's tricky, but he's sorting it out. The hardest part is convincing him to get off of Minecraft. We're getting there though, and honestly seeing stuff like this happen does give me more hope about the project, make it feel like less of a dream. Evergreen is quite ambitious, and seeing other games make tons of progress while we're still just slogging along, ticking off small visual things, can feel pretty miserable. But when Emil produces a little demo of a difficult shader finally working, or a control scheme feeling comfortable, it helps a lot.
I've also spoken to Radiarc, our composer, again recently, to work on a new "dynamic" song for the post-night sections. A song that changes slightly based on which section you're in (out of five) with a specific theme, and also changes based on the current perma-panic. For those who don't know, a similar song exists for the main nights in Evergreen - a track that changes dynamically, with an increasing amount of instruments, as perma-panic rises. It's really cool, and there's a preview of this track (at about 50% panic) in the "Bear in Mind" video I released on Halloween!
POPGOES Arcade:
POPGOES Arcade is now deemed 100% finished as we haven't seen any reports of new bugs (unless I've missed some?), so we'll be moving forward with ports soon! Clickteam is working with us directly, so we should have direct support on things like shaders. We'll be working on iOS and Android first, and I'm not entirely sure whether console ports will be possible for Arcade by itself or whether we need to wait for Evergreen so that they are "bundled". Personally, I hope they can be sold individually. Waiting for Evergreen feels like a waste of time. But we'll see!
Other:
The Popgoes the Weasel Youtooz figure is reaching customers now!
Congrats to LoganOnline who was the first person to share a photo of their figure on Twitter, though plenty more people have shared their own pics since. So happy with how this guy turned out, and it's awesome to see people share their praise of it online. Here's to more awesome POPGOES merch! I know of a COUPLE of things coming up, including the Hex plushie, so you guys can definitely expect some cool stuff in 2023 and hopefully beyond.
Alrighty, that's it for this week. Can't always promise that I'll have something visual to show off, I hope you guys understand that, but I'll continue to sprinkle in little bits throughout the week. Until next time!
