About half a week before a devastating attack hit Crimshaw, Wayfinder put out a public statement saying that he would be flying to a distant nebula to “Fight against an evil plot in the making”, making it so that the attack that actually did hit couldn’t be stopped by him. Wayfinder wouldn’t return until about 25 years later, and when he did, he knew that the public was no longer in his favor. They saw him as the monstrous coward he truly was. And when he finally let his benevolent facade drop, almost everyone died from it.
