Progress Report #1: It begins.


Hello Everyone.

For the sake of keeping everything organized and to have a goal, I’ve decied to make this progress reports once a week or two, depending or the progress done, of course, I’ll be showing all the interesting or important work done, trying to keep to the minimum the boring and technical stuff, So without further delay let’s begin.

New walking animations.

No more generic walking animations for our characters, at least for the main characters, I tried to obtain the best result without chaing the rigging, I’ll need to change it in the future if a I need more extreme movement, but for now the result is good enough.

New Items and Equipment. (What is in the box?)

Added a new equipment system to the game, now each character can equip a weapon , armor and up to three accssesories , because no RPG will be completed without those. Everything work marvelously, sadly I didn’t have time to update the UI, so there is no way to see what each character has equiped, but it works.

Adding shadows to the game.

Last but not least, I added so shadows to the game. At the begining using the unity build in real time shadows cause some major performance issues, this caused because all the threes cast it’s own shadow, tried using baked shadows but turns out that those and the unity terrain system don’t seems to go well together, I still have to find a workaround this problem, but for now I remove the tree’s shadows and the result for everything else look good.

I still have to fix some visual glitches but nothing game breaking.

Well this is eveything for now I hope to have an update for the game with all this new features and some more by the end of this month if all goes according to the plan (which never does).

Hello everyone!

Here is just a small showcase of the player character basic movement, for my next game. It's a mountaineering theme Metroidvania, wanted to make the movement slow and precise to fit the theme of mountain climbing.

New Version Release 0.2.0 Finally the version 0.2.0 is out .

A demo is finally available with all it's features: controller support, different games modes, various unlockable costumes, multiple collectibles types and most important, no bugs.
