Howdy there, and a Happy Halloween to everyone! ...Again!

First and foremost: thank you so much for over 26,000 followers! We’re really thankful for such a large following, and especially for dedicated and patient fans like you. We hope to keep making the best fan game that we can for people to one day enjoy!

Now: In the spirit of the spooky season, we thought we’d follow up our previous devlog with an additional update showcasing all of the extra material we weren’t able to show off!

Get ready, folks! Because we have some special surprises in store for you!

Accessibility Options!

First of all, some extra stuff! We’ve gotten some questions regarding our game’s borders on our Tumblr--mainly, if they’re enabled by default, can only be used in fullscreen, etc.

First of all: when you start up the game for the first time, you’ll have some simple accessibility options at your disposal! This includes the ability to change:

• The language of the game--we’ll have official translations!

• The border you’d like to play with! They’re disabled by default, but you can pick one!

• The level of visual effects of the game! This is intended for players unable to handle flashing images, shaking, and other effects.

Once you’re in-game, there’s even more accessibility options to configure! For instance, you can change the window size of the game! There’s even more, but we’ll leave that for the future!

Borders also work with any configurable window size! No need to worry about playing in a specific size for the experience!

Coldsea Renamed to Boreal Bluffs!

Now, I don’t have an accompanying image for this part--recently, we decided to finally rename Coldsea to something more creative and original… Boreal Bluffs!

This might seem like a bit of a weird and sudden change, but hear me out! Coldsea had been a relic from the older times of “opposite” named-locations (Snowdin and Sunnedout, Hotland and Coldsea, etc.). Since we’ve given each of the areas names that describe their geographical features, we wanted to give the same treatment to the now-Boreal Bluffs! Make sure to keep an eye out for the area’s flashy natural phenomena, not to mention the towering cliffs that surround a massive, freezing ocean...

Supervillain OC Contest Winners!

Oh, what’s this? Well, it’s none other than the Halloween Supervillain OC Contest! For this Discord-exclusive contest, we had people submit their own original supervillain characters to be featured in the (eventual) Crossbones Comics! These comics will exist (most likely) in an online format, as well as (maybe) in-game collectables! (We can’t promise that last one.) We actually showed off an example cover image in the previous devlog!

The prizes for winning were as follows:

• Third Place: Your villain will be featured briefly at the start of the comic, in a Previously on Crossbones Comics segment!)

• Second Place: Your villain will be a recurring antagonist, and minion to the main villain!

• First Place: Your villain will be the primary antagonist throughout the comic! ...Aside from Koffin-K, of course!

Updated Koffin-K Design!

Well, look at that! It’s none other than Count Koffin-K, the feared baron of Koffin-K Island! In the spirit of Halloween, we wanted to highlight his updated design with some brand new promotional artwork! As you can see, even the most minor tweaks can make huge differences!

Now, we haven’t said too much about Koffin-K himself, have we? About the villain...

Koffin-K Biography!

What started out as good-intentioned became a selfish pursuit for wealth and power. Koffin-K transformed his once poverty-ridden island into a criminal empire, draining its resources and stealing from other islands. By using his lackeys to take the fall for his crimes, the Royal Navy isn’t able to touch him. And so, the Starlight Saviour took it into his own hands to stop him.

Sans Design!

After keeping it quiet for a long time, we’ve finally decided to unveil Sans’s design! Believe it or not, Sans himself actually made this design! He said he put all his effort into it, and we gotta say… it looks great! Don’t worry, though--this isn’t the only outfit you’ll see him wear in TS!Underswap!

Koffin-K Overworld Theme!

Presenting: The Count’s Approach! While it’s going to be a while until Starlight Isles is the main focus of development (we’re still working on the demo, after all!), we wanted to show off the overworld encounter theme for Koffin-K!

Brand New Teaser Video!

The newest installment of the TS!Underswap Demo Teaser videos! As a bonus, we’ve included an updated version of the first teaser video--in addition to the main content of the teaser video itself!

And that’s all we have! ...Well, for now, at least. We still have plenty of secrets up our sleeves, but we’re not ready to show some things off just yet.

Perhaps once we get closer to Christmas, we’ll have a massive content update to show off…?
