Progress + What I'm working On

Hmmmm… It’s been a while since I’ve lasted posted here, so here’s a list of what I’ve added or changed since last time:

  • Added 2 new level packs

  • Added music for all level packs

  • Added the ability to test custom levels without leaving the editor

  • Improved the way level packs are imported

  • Added ~10 new tiles

  • Added a settings screen

  • Optimized the renderer

  • Fixed lots of rendering bugs

I’m currently working on handling errors. And I really hate doing that. You have to handle all the stupid things the user might do, like replacing the contents of a config file with the Bee move script or deleting the image folder. Thankfully, this is the last big thing that needs to bee done before I release the game.

And lastly, here’s a picture of one of the new level packs I’ve added.

See you in the next post, which will hopefully come out sooner that this one!

Let me introduce you to the new Mech line: Gendai Spec. Those are Mech that specializes in surprise attacks, covered operations, and stealth. They are equipped with melee weapons but one of Gendai's frames supports sniper rifles.
