Hey, it's been a long time since I made a devlog (this won't count as one, this'll just be an update post).
Just to be clear, the game's not dead, we've just been busy with life, school, and a tiny bit of burnout.
Project: Terminal is basically complete, it's just missing one final asset before it can actually be played. Code is all finished and the ARG elements are all public, we just need to finish the actual final cutscene. It's not a hard task, but we keep procrastinating on it due to working on a lot of stuff for Hourglass.
Project: Hourglass has grown a little bit more than we expected. Most of it is my fault, due to me having one dream that inspired me to expand onto the game, but I'm working on those additions and it's looking alright.
Quite honestly, I thought that implementing the Cam Shutdown mechanic would be really hard and would cause for many things to break, but when testing out ways to implement it, I ended up getting it done fairly quickly with no real issues other than having unfinished UI and missing sound effects, which will obviously be implemented as the game finishes development.
At the rate of me working on this, I can hope to get an actual non-april fools demo out by the end of April, or maybe early May. These are just estimates though, so please don't hold me at gunpoint if May 10th passes by and nothing's out on the game page.
We do want to say though, please keep any expectations to be extremely low for this game. This is our first game, and my first time using Unreal Engine. The game will not be TJOC levels of polished, or might not even look that good, honestly. This started off as our way to just pay tribute to the many canceled versions of FNaTI, and with that in mind, please accept that our game might not be the best when it comes to looking good or even being a good FNaTI game.
By the way, that april fools demo was made in Late November, I didn't expect to ever drop it but when April 1st was coming up I just checked my drives and just happened to see the RPGMaker project, so I just grabbed that and put it on gamejolt.
We'll have more updates soon, probably in the form of an actual devlog, and I'll see if I can get a teaser or two out in the meantime as well.
