I did the designs and their colors, another workmate did the lineart for me (less Shellie and Snakistro).
MONSTER DESIGNS:
PACK 1:
Broccoli Bro and Mapple Marie are from the section "Masked" as their faces are actually masks inspired by real life/nature items, Shade Shadow is from the sector "Shadows" and they alongside other big shadow monsters conquer the sector (let's say that these big characters are/were bosses); then Vladimir, I was surprisingly begged to create a sex idol or something like that, in purpose to make people fall in love with him (basically a thirst trap) when he alongside other demon conquer the "Demons" sector. The fun fact is that I know (and happened) people would drool and fall in love with Vladimir cuz I know perfectly this kind of attraction, but tbh? There were people (I'm included) that fell crazily in love with Broccoli Bro, that's a win XD
PACK 2:
As the pack 1 shown more personalities, here these three were intentionally for mysterious look and origins; Appowl is not a boss so instead is a normal and tiny creature with stereotypes of a half-cut apple, Shellie is an amalgam of different sea creatures like a squid, jellyfish, lobster and clam with some corals and accessories to make them a bit more tribal; then the last Snakistro, he was my first monster to design and I always had the idea of some dark magic mystical creature so he, alongside Shellie, were from the "Hybrids" sector, making them both be "Masked" but Snakistro also was "Shadows", and Shellie from "Sweet tooth" sector too.
PROP DESIGN:
This is the Portal Box, the main item that the players have to hunt the monsters (just like Pokemon), this concept and definitive design were used for 2D animation, the videogme's icon and the 3D to make it inside the game. It was my first time to show my classmates and the audience my prop design skills, so I followed instructions, a description that this Portal Box must get along with the weapon designs, a futuristic sci-fi design, that has to work just like the Pokeball but as the lore of this project, a portal trap.
It works just like a black hole, absorbs the monster and returns it where they belong (another dimension); the logo isn't made by me, it's from a classmate.
The brainstorm sketch page it's in my ArtStation where I show that there were more than only these designs.
