Prototype 1 Released


So this was supposed to release yesterday but my sleep schedule doesn't exist at the moment so I ended up falling asleep before I even got the chance to. But it's here now

This is the earliest I've ever released a game having it only been in development for around a week I'm sure it's obvious from the start that this game is definitely not a complete project. Currently, there are 3 monsters in the game each having their own unique 4 moves, so yes it's quite barebones on content right now.

The reason I've decided to release this game so early on is because I want to be rather experimental with what I do with the game and I would like community feedback on that. Whether that be from the design of a new monster I've added or a new mechanic.

Here are some of the things I intend on adding sometime in the future.

The Special Stat: This was something I was going to have in the first prototype build however none of the current monsters utilize the special stat so as for now it's not in the game.

Passive Moves: Passive Moves are half programmed into the game at the moment However I am still working out what passives to give to each of the monsters. I am hoping to get this mechanic added in very soon.

Types: Currently all the monsters and moves in the game are "neutral type" meaning they don't have any strengths or weaknesses. Typing is still a mechanic I'm trying to work out how to implement in an interesting way but as soon as I come up with something it'll be in the game pretty soon.

Teams: In the future, I'd like it to be possible to create teams of monsters to make battles longer and more interesting. I'd like to wait just a little longer to add this feature as I would like the roster of monsters to be larger first as I would like there to be more variety in teams people create.

PvP: I'd also like to add a PvP mode in the future as I think that would be more fun then the current PVE battles (hopefully online battles) I was thinking about adding this in the current build but I feel like there wouldn't really be a player base big enough to make it fun.

More Battle Types: I recon adding more battle types in the future would be really fun some ideas I have are double, triple and free for all battles where you could have like 10 different monsters on the field at once. I want to start implementing this once I'm happy with the single battle, battle mechanics

More Monsters: This is pretty much a given there will be plenty more monsters and moves in the near future
