As you can see, Murder Ball is going to be getting some big changes soon. This includes the change of the camera angle firstly to always face in the direction the ship is flying, and secondly to have an angle to it so you can see further in front of you than you could have previously. This itself makes controlling your ship and aiming significantly easier.
Other additions are coming as well including the addition of Achievements. Hopefully I will have the implementation complete for the next version, but I will not be holding out more features for achievements.
Additionally, stats are also being implemented so you can see how many kills and deaths you have in a game and in your career. This will hopefully be syncronized using Data Storage so your stats stay across computers. More importantly, this will allow these stats to be used for high scores so that some form of ranking system might be implemented to rate players and create a highscore ladder based on game stats, victories and defeats.
This update is still a few weeks off, as a lot more is coming in it as well and some testing still needs to be done, but expect the update to provide significant improvements to almost every part of the game.
Until now, I’ve decided to leave out Multiplayer. Multiplayer may not end up in this build as that in itself will take more than a week to get up and running the way I want it to. Probably more as I intend to get a match making system working with it. More news on this specifiic feature will come in a follow up post.
