nikson just don't go to give any dates that he's not sure about. he just recently saw that he can just set it to "To be announced" on the Steam backend instead of an actual date so he set it to that.
then i said to him that It's always been like this with fan games. 6 years and it's still early development while big companies (such as nintendo) could make more progress in less time.
(ok emil managed to recode 95% of FNAC 1 in GameMaker in one week but it's just a case or else, jolly 4 would have already reached 100% development in 2023) and then as times goes on, there a rising chance that the fan game is cancelled and i can give you 3 reasons.
1: a developer can quickly underestimate how much it takes to make a project like that.
2: personal conflicts and real life situations can play a role in this as well.
3: Wrong Mindset: Weshek was shit with jolly 4's development team. (don't ask me why)
some people don't make a fan-game because they want to just have fun or to do whatever they want, they make a fan-game for compedition. i don't want to blame it all to the fazbear fanverse if some people make fan-games for compedition but it's partially at fault.
then I once said that if you pull the elastic too much, the elastic breaks.
anyway I leave you this video that explains why fnaf Fan-games keep getting canceled so that I can't do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5dYkIB_DKc&list=WL&index=30
(i have to finish an analog horror about popgoes)
