It's pretty much ready to go!
I have fixed the bugs that I mentioned in the last post and I believe the game is bug free now.
In these 2 weeks or so I've remade a tiny bit of the menus too, mostly the Extras and Custom Night. Now some stuff becomes B E E G when you hover over it. I figured out how to do that. Pretty cool.
I also redrew Jairo's Custom Night icon because the old one just looked godawful.
My "drawing" program crashed around 5 times while making it. Very fun!
The more I look at him the more I realize he looks like the f***ing boykisser meme. I hate him so much. (He's still my precious little baby though)
And as you can see in the image attached at the top he also has a new pose in CAM 07.
Well, it's not exactly new really. It was made a while ago alongside the other poses, but when I finished coding Jairo's AI in the OG release, I uh... forgot to add it, lmao
Not only that but as you can see now the cameras have an anaglyph effect/shader. No reason as to why I just think it makes them look nicer.
(EDIT: Welp, GameJolt's compression just completely ruined the entire point of the image, awesome)
Mechanic-wise the flashes at the doors have been reworked, it's not a turn on/off switch anymore but rather when you press it, it just turns on for like 2 seconds and then turns off automatically. It was always meant to be like this, but once again: duct tape and dream.
This technically makes Orjia easier so to compensate I've reduced his kill timer a teeny tiny bit.
Despite this mechanic change the game is still beatable, I always make sure of that.
That's all I have to say. If everything goes according to plan, the recode will be released this Saturday!
Afterwards I'll be taking a break from game development for a long while because I'm kinda burnt out of the ClicksTeams™
That's not a bad thing at all though. Becoming a game developer (somewhat) has finally given me meaning to the 5 years I've spent in this website.
