Released v1.3.0 for CDH3..

Heyo everyone!

I wanted to address some of the issues people have had with v1.2. Over time, it became pretty clear that certain mechanics were more frustrating than fun, and in some cases just outright buggy.

So, for v1.3.0, I focused on making the game feel at the very least "tolerable" rather than just harder for the sake of it.


Anyways, here's the changelog:

  • Shadow's camera mechanic has been completely removed. It was too buggy and caused too many unfair deaths.

  • Fizz and Smile Clone should now properly be stalled before entering if you have the Maintenance Panel up.

  • Night 6 is now one minute shorter to (hopefully) reduce burnout. I should have done this a while ago, but whoop de doo.

  • Sanity recharge timer has been slashed in half. It now takes significantly less for the night guard to snap back to reality.


Honestly, going to just peel off the band-aid and say this:

Looking back, CDH3 has a lot of rough edges, more than I imagined. This game still came around the time when I was still learning Clickteam, and while I'm proud of how far the game has come, I also know it wasn't always balanced the way it should've been.

This update should be a step toward fixing that, I hope.

Down the line, I'd really like to do a v2.0 for this game, a proper recode when the time is right. Not just patches and nerfs, but rebuilding systems with everything I've learned since then so the experience finally matches what it should've been from the very beginning.


Thanks to everyone who's stuck with this game despite the chaos. Seriously, it means a lot.

One things for sure: I should've gotten beta testers far, far earlier :p
