With the help of a great artist, I've done a rebrand of the game to make it seem a little bit more attractive. You can find more art from this artist called Hygge at https://www.deviantart.com/hyggetheartist Also, check out my game which is now called CAECUS.
Got all this beautiful water and even swimming physics but it will never be used since the entire game is indoors. Funny to see how the game changes over time and what kind of creations become obsolete.
Currently working on a saving/loading system. This is tricky. I hope I will be able to get out a release very soon! In the meantime, enjoy this snapshot of me testing out some new features!
Check out https://3dtextures.me/ for some stunning free-to-use high quality textures! I have used several textures for the models in my blind horror game, which you should also check out!
Showing off some of the main aspects of Skrot. Be sure to check it out! https://gamejolt.com/games/skrot/676119 #indie #immersivesim #rpg #melee #swords #survival #build #quest
A new release is out! This update is mostly a rework on the tile system to make it look better. No longer will dirt paths have hard edges!
Release 0.12 is now out! This is the largest update so far. I've implemented saving and loading, as well as a ton of content. You can now chop down trees to build with planks. This is still under-developed, so there will be more building content soon.
For the architecture of the game, I used Archimesh in Blender. While the tool has some flaws that make it slightly inconvinient for game development, I highly recommend it for some quick prototyping. In the future I will make my own building editor.
The geiger counter is used to find the cursed object. Several objects might show radioactivity, but only one object is the cursed object. Use in combination with the EFM-reader to find the correct object, and burn it to exorcise the ghost!
My drawing skills are not the greatest, but instead of trying to draw something that looks very pretty, I just embrace my lack of skill and draw in an extremely simplistic style. These are all the images used for the tutorial.
