*You take a moment to think about what led you to this moment, how you've split up with your friends, and how you still kept going.

*You are filled with the power to try and find the way to get back to your friends.

this is part of the Chapter 7 concept I was talking about, and now it's exposition time:

when you entered this part of the giant Dark World opened in the middle of Hometown, (the part of the Dark World you entered is closest to the school) the island that the Fun Gang were standing on broke into three pieces due to the instability of this Dark World, splitting you three up.

speaking of this Dark World being unstable, parts of the land you step on will break off, making you have to try not to fall into the abyss. (in this section, at least)
