I know they/them is gender neutral but I don't go by they/them and my pronouns are very obviously stated in my bio.

I've seen several people referring to me as a they in comments and posts and it comes off more as people not choosing to view me as a man and being uncomfortable using my neopronouns.

I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, I've seen other people class this as misgendering on several other platforms and accounts.

I am a joygender male and I go he/jam/🐛 pronouns.

I have not been called jam or 🐛 since putting them in my bio and I've been called they more times than I have he.

You should only ever call someone they/them if you don't know their pronouns (not in their bio, you've never seen someone close to them call them any pronouns besides they, ect.) Or if they have they/them somewhere on their profile and openly identify with the pronouns.

This is not directed at anyone who has misgendered me, I don't care what you did I care what you continue to do. This is not just a problem only I experience, this should apply to every profile and I hope it can serve as a reminder to check bios for pronouns before assuming and for you, trans spectrum or not, to put your pronouns in your bio.

This is basic trans ally stuff, don't deny us our identity.
