Footwear is a piece of gear that influences evasion rate/overworld movement speed similar to how Weapons influence basic attack damage/accuracy/critical rate and Protection influence damage tolerance/elemental affinity.
(accessories count as gear, but they don't influence any stat in-general when they have no effect, they just put a passive ability to the user. all types of gear in swordfighter have additional passive effects to them)
