"So About that Fnaf Fangame I owed ya" [MEGA UPDATE]


First off... Hello! It's been a while since I've even updated you all on this game.

I've been busy with a lot of personal projects and irl things. HOWEVER I really felt inclined to inform you all about the Fnaf fangame I posted about last... 9 Months ago???

A lot has changed since then, so let me tell you all about it.

Firstly I've been slowly over the 9 months getting better at coding. Like not CTF coding, but actual coding in C# and a bit in python.

Secondly I've moved on from using Clickteam to Unity and Godot. Mainly because I'd rather not waste time with rendering 1000+ frames in 1920 x 1080 aspect ratio in Cycles/Eevee only to have to re-render everything again just to change one animation when I could just import an FBX with the new animations and just attach the scripts again.

Thirdly I've gotten soOO much better at optimizing my models and even modeling things in general.


"So what about all this that has to do with your Fangame?" ~ the user reading this probably

So lets just say I've worked/have been working endlessly on a fangame that I feel like will be at least decent enough to give people some spooks and some hints about what I'm going to be doing next. Yeah well as opposed to my 9 month old update, I'm taking my time with this one. When I made that 9 month old update, I didn't know what I was doing for the AI, code, graphics, etc. and just made that post as a filler for a game that didn't even exist due to my incomitance in myself and my skills as a game dev. I've since grown out of that and have been toying with different prototypes and actual game concepts (one of them is an original game I'm still working on called Dreamer).

I won't say if this Fnaf fangame be released or just worked on on and off like most of my games, But what I WILL say is that so far I've been having a blast with coding and modeling things for it!


"So bla bla bla you're not going to show us an actual in game screenshot yet like the 9 month old one, aren't you?"

So with all that said and done.. What will you expect by the end of this?

At least a demo.

Not saying the time of release or even when the game page will be up, because I want Quality and Content before I even think about saying a release date or posting a game page.

Next up

So I've been thinking (well more like I've already decided for quite a while now) to change Cataclysm into something much Much bigger as a project. I'll make a new game page once I get enough gameplay and assets made, but rest assured this will be Big.
