Even despite the fact that this game is far shorter than SUBCON.FDS is going to be, I honestly forgot just how difficult (and honestly not fun) it is to make even shorter games with Clickteam Fusion (an in general not fun engine), and I was mostly making this game if I gotta be completely honest to get something put together for this exechallenge (it's a pretty big event this time around is why).
Along with this, I'm honestly pretty ready at this point to move on to original works and honestly, a completely different game engine (the main reason I didn't use one this time honestly more than anything comes down to time constraints and underestimation of just how not fun and a chore clickteam is to work with).
As of me writing this post, the deadline is in four days, I just felt that with the time I had when I started making this game, that wasn't enough time to learn Gamemaker Studio 2 and learn Orbinaut Framework (which I definitely would have used) and then code everything, and so I opted not to.
And if push comes to shove, I might honestly give the game to somebody else to finish or at the very least seek out someone willing to help me to code or do something else in developing this game, otherwise this game's future will be uncertain from that point on. (Please reach out if you have something)
Original works are going nowhere (I've even been, while nothing substantial yet, been starting to get the ball rolling a little bit on taking initiatives towards getting things off the ground, so that much is a thing I suppose). Otherwise, in general, I hope you can understand, and thank you for reading.
