SO. I finished my Violet Playthrough a week ago.

I HAVE MANY THOUGHTS. Mostly that of excitement since I've officially finished my first Pokémon game!! New Year's Resolution completed in record time!

BUT ALSO. OH MAN, AREA ZERO. THAT WAS AWESOME.

Going a little more in-depth here, I really enjoyed all three storylines between each of the other three protagonists, from Nemona finally getting to fight someone on equal footing with her, to Penny being able to meet up with her friends and get saved from expulsion (with the Director growing in understanding about the hidden struggles students face), to Arven's story.

Oh man Arven. He got to save his only family (Mabosstif) and got closure for what happened to his missing parent. At times it really felt like he should be the official main character, and that we, the player, should've been the supporting character in HIS story.

Like, I initially thought he was a bit strange from the first encounter with him, but since I played his route first I quickly realized just how kind he was, and how his life experiences shaped him as a person. Mabosstif was his only family, so he deeply cares for it and would literally search across the region for mystical herbs to heal it. AND. Y'know his skilled cooking abilities? Ever wonder why he's good at it? Well, when you're alone...you can only rely on yourself to put food on the table.

I really felt for these characters, which is more than I can say for some other past rivals and companions. The writing in this game is delightful, and alongside Gen 5's story, I can safely say it's one of my favourites!

TL;DR: All 3 Protags have awesome storylines, and Arven ended up being a deeper character than I initially expected.

THANK YOU FOR READING IF YOU TOOK THE TIME TO DO SO!!! I'm sure to ramble more often if discussions like this are something y'all also enjoy

While Unitas is all frowns and serious business, Aeterna is...whimsical. Silly, even. Don't let that fool you.

(Life update: I've taken to reading books again, and I'm trying to exercise more frequently. Life is starting to feel more balanced again.)

2 More Attacks, One for: https://artfight.net/~Melloobee and the other for @Hiiexist

I want to improve my visual storytelling skills. That means a whole lotta character interactions, and comics are one way to do it.

Batch Drop of the remaining Artfight Attacks I hadn't posted yet.

Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with what I managed to achieve in a month, especially with the comics and character interactions. + I improved drawing on mobile, which is nice!

(1st of the year!)

I've been dabbling in this artstyle more these days. I hope to improve my skills in portraying characters properly + drawing scenery this year.

As you know, I'm not typically drawing on mobile. But nothing is stopping me from trying to improve! Really wanted to draw him last year but ran outta time.

Process of one of my Pikachu drawings. This is a perfect example of when I start losing myself in art land, but suddenly snap back to basics when I realize "Oh right, I have no time!" You'll see what I mean.
