So, uh... I guess I'm back now? I believe that you guys deserve an explanation as to why I've been gone for over a year. <Read Article>

I'm unaware of whether or not I've been missed on here all that much, but for those of you who have, I've returned today on New Year's Eve to both clarify that I'm not dead but also to explain why I've been gone so long and elaborate on my goals moving forward. I haven't posted in ages, so I got a good bit to go over, and I think it'd be best for me to split this into parts as a result.

Part 1 - Why I Disappeared:
To make a long story short, the main reason why I vanished out of nowhere was because me and my former co-developer/best friend, @Benny-Drawkill , had a falling out. I won't go into too much detail for both our sakes, but in summary, we both suffered from a case of being chronically online. For me, this affected my social life and mental health, and for Benny, it did those things and also impacted his future pursuits in his real life. Stuff boiled over at one point, and I decided to cut ties with Benny and take a break from Gamejolt and Discord with people I didn't know in person. In the end, I do have some regrets with that decision, but I ultimately feel as though I made the right choice. I feel happier, I've become more social, and heck, I even have a girlfriend now. I'm not the same person I was a year ago, for the better. Before I move on, if you're reading this Benny, I want to say that, while you certainly did have your flaws, and we definitely hung out a lot more than we probably should've, I don't hate you. In fact, after I've had some time to think and live life, I hope that we may be able to be friends again, if not in a different way. I want to know and see that you've changed, both in lifestyle and in character. Furthermore, the messages will be far fewer, and the VCs will be rarer, for both our sakes, but I'd like to at least be friends again still. Lastly, before we even get back to the point that we even chat on each other's Discord's again, I want to wait a while until I'm ready. This is a big decision I'm making here, and I'm really not sure if it's the right one or not, but I want to give it a chance. Give you a chance again, to see if you've taken my words to heart. I'll tell you when the time is right for us to interact directly again with message conversations and the like, but not now. It may take a long while, so keep that in mind. That is all I have to say to you in that regard. Now, with that personal bit out of the way, let's move onto the exciting stuff!

Part 2 - My Future Plans:
This is the part that I think you guys (if anyone actually bothers to see this) will find most exciting, if not at least interesting. After me and Benny cut ties, I decided that this was a perfect opportunity to start developing games with a clean slate. I've been working on games in Clickteam for around 7 years now, and I've learned a lot in that time. I'm not professional game dev levels of good, god no, but I can make a pretty competent game that I put a lot of passion into, and I ultimately think that's what matters. That all said, I am now finally planning on trying to branch out in terms of content and genres. My first steps will be into point-and-click adventure style horror games, which I'd say is a pretty good first step coming from someone who's so used to making FNaF fan games. Speaking of which, there will be plenty of those coming too. In fact, the first few new releases I make will likely be fan games. The very first one I release shall be an original fangame that I've been working on for my Biology class, but the second...

Part 2.5 - Too Many Cool Nights with Jimmy: Rebooted:
Yep, I'm both remaking and rebooting the One Cool Night with Jimmy games! I'm not sure many people care about the originals, but I put a lot of passion into both of them, and they may not be the greatest by any stretch of the imagination, but I think they're neat in their own ways. Regardless, I've already done a lot of work on the remake of the first game, and the way it's shaping up, I think it'll easily be one of my best games ever. The gameplay, visuals, plot, and more are all getting overhauled to make them more interesting, cohesive, and difficult but fair, all while trying to keep the spirit of and best aspects of the originals. I plan on making a remake of Uno Kewl Evenings wit Jimbe too, as well as remakes of Cool Nightmares with Jimmy and One Cool Night with Jimmy 2, which are games that had work done on them but never came to be ultimately. I promise that these will be some of my best games yet, and I can't wait to be able to share them with you all.

Part 3 - Other Future Projects:
I don't wish to spoil any of the stuff you don't already know, so I won't go into any specifics, but I will provide you all with stuff I think won't ruin any real surprises. First of all, regarding some of my old, original works I had going on such as Onyx Hideout and Whatever This Is, those will also be getting remakes at some point down the line. That said, however, they will not be coming back as FNaF fan games, as I feel that they would be a great avenue to branch out into different kinds of gameplay. At some other point, I will also be making/finishing/remaking a game that I was closely involved with that never got finished: A Night with Jim Jon. I will be taking the ideas and available knowledge from the devs of what was planned for the game and combining it with things from the original One Night with Jim Jon and the unfinished recode, One Night with Jim Jon: Recoded, all while presenting it in the original art style Jim Jon and friends were drawn in by @Jecovilx (godspeed wherever you are, man). Other than those games, the only other things I'll say is that I plan on making an in-depth video on my YouTube talking about/showcasing all of my old, unfinished projects, the stories behind them, and all the things that were made for it. I'm also trying to get into/learn how to develop games in Unity, as Clickteam is a bit limited for a few of the games I have planned, so look forward to seeing games in a more powerful engine at some point. Who knows, maybe I'll even learn 3D game development at some point!

Part 4 - Conclusion
So yeah, that's all I have to say. Certainly quite the post, but it kind of had to be, no? It'll likely be a while before I post again, but once my first new project nears completion, I'll come back to hype it up and whatnot. I plan to also put my new games onto itch.io if I can as well as on here, so keep that in mind too, if you're interested. I will say, it feels good to be back, even if I likely won't be on here very often at all. Adios for now, everyone, and Happy 2026! - Supercat

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
