SO... what's next with Capture the Intelligence? (a short announcement)

well, not much. however, what i CAN guarantee is one more content update sometime in the future. the tower update is intended to bring the feature into the game, and i'm planning on atleast one more major update to the game to add more content as to make it a more streamlined experience, with more content to encounter. those 4 empty spots in custom mode are there for a reason, wink wink nudge nudge

other than that though, as i see it the game has concluded! realistically the game was never meant to GET a second update, as in reality the project was made in a short period of time for me to test a new engine im otherwise unfamiliar with (moving from old gamemaker studio to gamemaker 2) in hopes of one day making a proper, polished topdown horror game in an oc universe of mine to sell! of course that's not saying i'm not proud of this game, i didn't make it just to end it - i had a great time making it, it just wasn't meant to really be such a big deal. towermode was intended to be shelved until that hypothetical future project - a roguelike dungeon crawler mode with random enemy choices atleast - but i brought it here because i figured it'd be a good replayable way to send it off, in a sense. plus turns out the game wasn't programmed THAT bad, and i was able to get every enemy working in tandem without any major problems outside of balancing issues (fun!)

so while i can atleast guarantee that future content update with those new bad guys SOMETIME in the future, there's not much else to say regarding future plans outside of bugfixes and other changes - however, for those who enjoy capture the intelligence for its gameplay, stay tuned because now that i have an enjoyable, working foundation set, i'll be on the road to making more cheesy survival horror games - just programmed in a way that isn't ten seconds away from breaking down at all times haha

i really am grateful for the insane amount of reach this game got. before this the only time i've ever really hit this many eyes was with spongebob treasure hunt - and CTI managed to blow treasure hunt out of the water within weeks. it's surreal having this much attention on me, but at the very least i know not to worry too much about disappointing people. if you wanna know me better, know this - i'm inconsistent and my schedule sucks.

that's about it though. other than that, maybe expect a developer's commentary soon? maybe an AMA? some other goodies? who knows - if you're here from CTI i'm hoping you guys stick around to see what else i end up making down the road, cuz it's nice having people enjoying the stuff i'd have otherwise just made for myself

also shoutout to those dudes who managed to speedrun the game - i have a soft spot for speedrunning these sorts of horror games, i'm amazed they managed to shave the WR down to a measly FOUR MINUTES. that's insane. it takes me six, and i made the damn game LOL
