Hey, it's been a while since I said anything about this game...
Many of you might be wondering, "CosmicKid, where is the demo? You said it WILL come out this year." Well yes, I did say that. However, I'm announcing that the demo has been delayed to next year due to poor communication skills on my part. The demo is mostly done; it's just missing a few art assets and music until it's ready for final playtesting and release. But progress pretty much paused as of right now due to me not communicating with the team more clearly. I feel very guilty of this, and I deeply apologize for not updating you all about it.
So what's the new plan now? Well, first of all, I want to do better at directing by communicating better with the team to get work done better. Secondly, I will see if I can get the demo out sometime in January or early February, depending on how much progress has been made, no promises tho. Don't expect any release dates to be announced yet until I state otherwise. I will get this game out no matter what and will not get cancelled under any circumstances.
Anyway, with that out of the way, did anything in the game change? While not much has changed, I actually went back into the coding and made some adjustments. Such as fixing some bugs/issues I overlooked and adding cooldowns on some office interactions to prevent spamming, which causes problems to the gameplay. One change I made was to the "New Game" button. Instead of taking you into the game on night 1, it will ask "are you sure?" and clicking it again will reset back to night 1 on the menu. The reason I made this change is to make it easier to restart the game to start Hard Mode, since it would've been annoying to restart originally (Shown in the video above, ignore Ultra Sonic Blast in the background lol). Speaking of Hard Mode, I reduced the life count from 5 to 3 after a suggestion by @MoleyMSPAINT

I know it's nothing too big or exciting, but I think these small adjustments will help the game flow better and solve some potential issues. Of course, there will still be some issues that slip through, so I hope I can fix some of those in the future if any more are discovered. Anyway, that's pretty much it for this short news devlog. I apologize again for not getting the demo out as I promised. I hope to get it out sometime next year.
