Some questions to sum up

Hey everyone,

I know I just posted a new update yesterday, but now that character switching works, it give’s me the chance to design the rest of the main characters. This means animating the models, doing character renders, and recording the voices. And for a few things along those lines, I need a bit of your help.

Time period

The game will not have a specific date, it will just take place along the lines of the first game. But I need at least a year to determine the music that I will be picking, and the complexity of computers and/or other electronic devices. The car design will also be a factor affected by this descision. I am think of two possible time periods; 1993-1995, or 2007. The 90s is a rough guess based on the lore and FNAF community. I am considering 2007 because of the community also, and because phone guy says “If I was forced to sing the same stupid song for twenty years, without getting a bath”. Assuming that it takes place 20 years after 1987 (The second game’s year), we would be at 2007.

Bonnie: Male or Female?

Another decision I have to make is whether Bonnie is a male or female. I am more lenient towards making Bonnie female, and for these reasons:

  • Bonnie is generally a feminine name

  • Bonnie’s eye color is purple, similar to Chica

  • Bonnie’s fur is purple

  • It would make sense if there were two male animatronics and two female

So far, I am designing it so that Freddy and Foxy are male, and Chica is female. That is definite, but I am still unsure about Bonnie, so I thought I would ask you guys first. I have not begun voices yet, so I need to make a decision before that point.

FNAF 2 Characters?

I am not sure about this, but both of my time period preferences show that FNAF 2 is a prequel. So, should a main story mission or side mission involve those characters? If After Hours reaches enough popularity to spawn a sequel, these characters will be the center of attention, but do you think they should be involved in the game as non-playable characters?

You decide!

These are some things that I am just overall unsure about, and I would really love it if you could give me input! Nothing is more important to me than making sure this game is awesome, and I want all of your help to ensure it!

Thanks for reading, I’m hoping to show you some demos or videos in the near future!
