Comment: What do you call a science geek who has recently taking up researching on religious topics? Geek of the Divinus Scientia. This type of geek is extremely zealous about researching in science as well as religion, but they are not the kind of person who aim to use science to find God. Basically, they are just like science geeks, but instead of believing in only science, they are also devout religious adherents.

And Clemont, in my headcanon, is that type of person. After being taken to Heaven temporarily in a dream (no, no Muslim references here), he encountered Mari, who taught him the power of the Cross and the way to harness it by exercising faith in Christ. Captivated by Mari's words, Clemont decided to become a diehard believer of the Divine Order of the Thaumaturgy. He also began to research its theological concepts, alongside with worshipping God and researching on his scientific topics.
