(Subjective) list! The Completionist Saga - Episode 2

Let's look at @Weirado 's work!

Welcome back for the second article of the saga, where I look at various developers' (mentioned in the main article, which will also be updated with what I wrote here: https://gamejolt.com/p/subjective-list-fnaf-world-fan-game-recommendations-my-personal-ssyj59zj) work that I still haven't come around to checking!

This time around, we're gonna check out the games by the dev behind Corrupted Chaos... @Weirado !

(DISCLAIMER: while I may talk badly at times about fan games, these are games made by fans, for fans. The devs spent their time on unpaid games made solely out of passion. For this reason, I do not condone any sort of behavior that is or is associable to hate against them. Constructive criticism is nice, being an outright jerk isn't.

This is a subjective article. These are my opinions, and everyone is entitled to have their own, as they should.)

Where have we seen the dev in the list?

We've seen the dev's main and only game in the list, Corrupted Chaos, in the Very Conflicted section. While the game was big (even in its demo form) and has a distinctive style, some of the changes made make the experience worse, in my opinion (such as having only one team, battle view too wide and world view too cramped, worlds too big etc...). The two other games are actually little mini-games connected to the main one, but their placement might come as a surprise.

Let's see what we got!

I highly recommend these!

FNaF World: Yenndo Edition (by @Weirado )

What happens when you make a troll game enjoyable? We can see what happened with FNaF 1 Remake, but do we know of any other devs in this community who have made an enjoyable troll game? Why not ask this dev? Yenndo Edition partially mimics the troll FNaF Halloween Edition, but also gives it its own spin: Yenndo.

While the structure is very linear, the art style is on point and the experience is short enough to result overall a very enjoyable time. Be sure to try it out if you'll ever have the chance!

FNaF World: Corrupted Chaos Holiday Special! (by @Weirado )

Feel the Christmas glee coming from every pore in this little holiday special! Featuring three classic mini-games in a jolly new format, if you're ever wondering how to kill some time, why not stop here?

Featuring Flappy Bird, the FNaF 6 mini-game that comes right at the start (the one about giving pizza to the children) and Foxy Fighters, all retextured to fit the holiday spirit FNaF World can, and will deliver! Hop on by and join this holiday spree!

Why are the mini-games above the game they are based on?

I feel like this section is necessary. Why are these two mini-games in Highly recommended, but we don't see Corrupted Chaos there? I mean, it's the main game after all, right?

This reconnects to my idea of what to recommend and what to leave aside. If I'm having fun, I recommend. The more fun I had, the more I'll recommend it. Simple as that. That's why I usually celebrate the games in recommended: because I had fun in all of them! The ones that are not recommended, instead, didn't bring me a lot of fun, or none at all. Usually this is issues with either coding or game design: I try to explain why something is there, because it's a much more honest approach in my opinion. It makes you understand why I wouldn't get this, and if you disagree with my reasons or don't care about the issues presented, then you can still give it a shot.

What is in Very Conflicted is usually what could've been enjoyable, but ultimately wasn't. The mini-games were enjoyable. The main game, due to some choices, in my opinion wasn't as much. So this is why the mini-games are above the main game.

So... what do you think? Care to try these games out? I'm curious to know!
