Swilcrad v1.5 Full Release!

It’s crazy to think this game has been more than half a year in the making now. And we’ve finally reached the final update!

There has been several dozen changes since the last update, so I’m going to keep this changelog short and include only the important things. The full changelog can be found here - http://pastebin.com/mLQcYjR6

  • Three new music tracks

  • Fixed lots of bugs where music would either not loop, not fade, or not play at all

  • Chases can no longer be avoided by quickly entering and leaving the same room over and over

  • Of the three items required to get the secret ending, one has been renamed and two have been moved to new locations

  • Almost all endings and cutscenes have been rewritten, and new cutscenes have been added

  • The storyline has been refined and the explanation behind events is more clear in the secret ending

  • Random apperances have been tweaked

  • Dialogue will now pause enemy movement

  • Added a couple more hidden areas throughout the game

  • Added three in-game trophies for each of the three endings that will display on the main menu as you get them

  • Save slots now give notifications for saving games and whether that slot is filled or not

  • All known bugs and rough edges the game previously had have been fixed, polished off, or removed (hopefully…)

It’s funny, really, because this isn’t the only update I’ve said would be the last one. Looking back, I said something similar for version 1.2, and look at how low quality the game was at that stage. It’s almost embarrassing, actually.

But now the game really is complete. If someone finds a bug, I’ll fix it. But other than that, I’m done with development on Swilcrad. Making the game has been quite the experience, and hopefully, playing it is too.

Thanks for reading!
