Swunter mechanics update #3

I’ve added a new mechanic that I think is pretty nice. I call it a “hop-dash” simply because at slower speeds it’s more of a hop and at faster speeds it’s more like a dash. It’s not one or the other but actually a little bit of both… if that makes any sense. You’ll understand more after you’ve messed with it. I still haven’t added attacking and pushing off walls when wall sliding. I ended up spending more time than expected on the hop-dash mechanic but now I have that working smoothly I can move onto the attack. The push off the wall take like two seconds so I’ll do that when I do it.

As usual, here’s a gif showing the current state. Go check out the game if you’d like to try it yourself.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
