For starters I would just like to the thank everybody that started following this project. I’m glad people are interested in this. I haven’t messed with this in the last couple days because I made a game real quick following along with a book that I’ve been reading.
After finishing that I started fiddling with a platformer engine that I purchased on the Gamemaker Marketplace and things are starting to look pretty good so there is a very good possibility that this will be a physics based platformer. I’ve heard that it’s a bad idea to use a physics engine for a 2D platformer but the way I see it is if it works good then why the hell not?
I’ll mess with this physics engine more tomorrow. Here’s a gif of what I’ve been fiddling with so far. It’s completely barebones right now and still needs a lot of tweaking to get things how I want them.
