Ashley:

• Met Lucas in high school when she was 12, she thought he looked lonely and so went over to go befriend him. A year later Lucas would be adopted by Haiden, an old family friend of her mothers.

• Her father Mason is Lake’s cousin, though he changed his name and left the Magwood family for an unknown reason. Which makes Lake her distant Uncle, though he dotes on her like she’s his daughter. Ashley doesn’t know how to feel about this.

• Knows Lucas’ Soul Embodiments and some of them help her cope with her anxiety by acting as therapy animals.

• Is a little suspicious of Lake as she feels like there’s something off about him, though she doesn’t know what it is. Lucas shares her concerns.

• Wishes to be an author and journalist when she grows up and is taking on a case for her final year in high school involving the disappearance of several individuals.

Lucas:

• Knows things but won’t share that information because it’s not safe to do so, plus he’s not sure if most of it will apply anymore since he’s not in the canon TAALFS verse as he knows it.

• When asked about his knowledge he will never give straight answers; speaking in cryptic riddles, half truths, puns and quotes.

• Since he’s from our time (2025) he’s a gaming and internet addict who is suffering from mild withdrawal, though surprisingly he has access to all his modern music via a holographic screen which only he can see. He’s given up on figuring out how this is possible.

• The Soul Embodiments in this Au, instead of being souls of guards killed at the Funland they’re the caretakers and friends he lost in the fire at his previous orphanage in England. Rory/Catnap, Serena/Golden Freddy and June/Yarnaby were three of his most liked caretakers and the rest are other orphans he knew well.

• Might be classified as a young Cosmic/Eldritch horror due to his various abilities not really following the standard rules. Semi-solid illusions, able to manipulate the weather, being able to manipulate and control via telekinesis and able to interface and travel through technology/internet.

• Knows Lake is possessed due to his knowledge but doesn’t say anything due to not knowing enough about this universes version of said possession.

• Completely supports his adoptive father and Lake’s relationship, also has a betting pool among the Funland staff.

• Works part time as a janitor at the Funland during certain holidays and weekends. He’s very meticulous with his cleaning and the Soul Embodiments help him out when he’s on a tight schedule.

• Wishes to be an artist or to help Haiden in his bakery while doing commissions on the side. Very creative and has many talents in drawing, physical crafting and textiles (mostly plushies).

• Has AuDHD (ADHD and Autism) so is often forgetful, scatterbrained and easily distracted but has a very good memory and is hardworking when properly motivated. Also a bit of a prankster and ropes Ashley into his antics, she doesn’t mind much and is often the voice of reason.
