Ancient Mural - Old:

A curious mural depicting the ancient archipelago empire of Thalassa Njord, much of the original colouring has been worn away over time. Equestrian Scholars are sure this is a depiction of the races of Thalassa Njord and their leaders battling against the Twin Heavenly Emperors. Nightstar Covenant, the Heavenly Abyss Emperor and Phoenix Mechanis, the Heavenly Flame Emperor.

This is dated as a year before the Great Sinking of Thalassa Njord, a catastrophic event in which the Twin Emperors sunk most of the island landmasses into the ocean.

Seemingly taking themselves with it...

The original colouration, no one but those descended from the Races Under Heavenly Rule know what truly happened...

Decided to try a new drawing style, the discovery of the Polyline tool in Clip Studio Art enabled this to come to fruition without much struggle for once. Since I couldn't decide on how the mural would look I decided to make a "new" version and an "old" version to represent both ages; when the mural was first made and one that's worn down by time.

For those curious, all I'll say is that sometimes... history can be misinterpreted.
