Tail regeneration and a new map

In Kuntry Pedes, cutting off part of your opponents tail, but not enough to kill them or change who is longer, is strictly beneficial for your opponent because it makes them faster. Sometimes this could lead to some frustrating situations if, as the shorter pede, you cut the longer pede in such a way that they are now only barely longer than you. This would effectively eliminate your advantage, by making both pedes roughly the same speed, while leaving your opponent’s advantage intact. Previously, this would basically leave the shorter pede screwed, and they would probably have to run out the rest of the clock fruitlessly chasing the, now fast, longer pede.

In version 0.6 I have remedied this problem with the addition of a tail regeneration mechanic. Now, if you land a hit on your opponent, but not enough to kill them or change who is longer, then they will regenerate the lost body segments over time. Such hits are still strictly beneficial for the receiver, as it makes them briefly faster, but they are no longer round ending for the attacker.

In addition to the above, I have also added a new map, a new grass texture, and some general polish. More maps will probably be coming soon.

Thanks for reading and let me know what you think about the changes.

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
