Hey all, Redbear here!
As most of y’all know by now, the original nwaf 1 Kickstart a prototype has finally been officially released released to the public and this is HUGE for a lot of reasons.
Now, I’ve seen quite a few people running into issues trying to play the game, so I thought, hey what if I do a little guide/review of the build? Y’know, help people out and talk about what this early version was shaping up to be.
So, without further ado… let’s see what Scot was cooking up before scrapping this version.
Here's the menu. (yes i already beat the whole thing 100%)

We already have a lot of differences—there’s no Custom Night, Freddie’s model is completely different, Night 6 is called Overtime, and the music’s different too. Oh, and there’s a “How to Play” option. Let’s uh, check it out, shall we?

highscore system? huh, interesting. also, Freddie is called Freddiebear instead of Fozbear, that's kinda interesting. whatever, onto night 1 though before it starts, we get a dev note from scot.

Onto the actual night here's our glorious office with a golden Freddie statue.

There's no nose to honk sadly but the bell does work anyway here are the cams and whole map layout pretty different huh?.

Let's see what phone bro has to say.
he obviously sounds really great, and the phone call goes about how you'd expect: company policies, watch the cams, make sure nothing breaks, blah blah blah.
sadly, evil miserable ahh bluds are hating on freddiebear. turns out one horrible birthday party years ago will completely ruin your company reputation.
phone bro brings up the characters on stage and just how advanced they are, and how they move around at night… and how they'll try to get into your office. if they do get in, just use the light on ’em! sure, why not. before ending the call, he brings up the power, and like, come on, you already know how that works. end call.
On the first night Benny and Chickadee become active

Before we get into their mechanic, I should note the way the doors work: they’re always closed, and if you open them up, power drains. Opening them up is the only way you can use your light.
Anyway, let’s first start with Benny.
He comes off stage goes down his path till he reaches the backstage where you can stall him for points.

Eventually he'll leave the backstage and end up at the door where you have to open it and hold the light at him.

Chickadee works pretty similar too except she goes to the right you can stall her at the east wing for points too.

Then she comes to your door open it and flash the light at her to make her leave, reminder don't hold it, flash it instead

That was just night 1 overall a pretty good start interesting how Chickadee is also active but oh well onto night 2.

Phone bro mentions Foxie, who’s on Pirate’s Cove, duh. Her whole thing is that when she comes out, she sings songs, gives out little stickers, and shitty chocolate coins. They really did go all out on her. Now, even though she was added way later into the cast, she still has that free roaming bug. Phone bro ends up ending the call way sooner than intended and leaves to take care of, uh, someone.
This night Foxie the pirate fox becomes active.

She works completely differently compared to the released version kinda.
She starts at pirate cove then slowly comes out.

But instead of running to your office, she does something to the sign and then decides to strike.

When she leaves the sign will say IT'S TIME with an arrow pointing to either the left or right.

INSTANTLY open the door to the sign it's pointing to and wait for Foxie to show up.

Don't pull up the cams just stare at her and she'll leave.
And yeah, that was Night 2! It’s super cool to see these early, unused mechanics for Freddie and the gang. Let’s hope this trend of cool new mechanics continues!
Onto night 3.

Really cool that Dolly was planned to be in the game from the start, though I have no idea what the hell Golden Freddie is about.
Phone bro apologizes for leaving so quickly last night he was having, uh, trouble with his dog.
Business has been a bit crazy lately. The characters are all being evil and quirky just lock in, alright? Especially for uh, him…
Freddie's has a puppet character, where his entire point is that he comes once a day and is all sad, and the characters have to cheer him up. He smiles, and everyone’s happy bam, power of friendship. Too bad he looks fucking horrifying. If it ever tries to mess with you, there should be a button on the cam to get him to shut the fuck up. Alright? Alright.
On night 3 dolly becomes active!

I really love this old design for him it's super cool and stuff, onto his mechanic.
Once in a while, he’ll make a really distinct sound cue, and he’ll be in either the stage, the dining area, kitchen, or the bathrooms. When you find him, just hold down that button to make him buzz off.

I really love just how many cams are used in this version, it makes them feel more special and useful, I guess. Also, Dolly’s sound cue did get me the first time I heard it, so yay, that was fun.
Onto the next night.

Freddie only appearing when the power was off would've been REALLY lame thank god it got scrapped anyway.
Phone bro calls again, saying that things are getting INSANE. The characters are not acting right, and they’re becoming worse way worse actually. It hasn’t been this bad since…
…nvm. Actually, what’s important is that Freddie is moving now, and he’s looming over the main areas. Before today’s show, they just found him in the garage, staring at the main breaker. Now, you obviously wouldn’t want a giant robot bear to fuck with the building’s main power supply, would you now? Huh? Would you? Hmmmm.
Tonight the last main character the man the legend himself Freddie Fozbear comes to life.

Freddie has 4 cams he can go to the Dinning Room the Electric Depot the Bathrooms and the Kitchen.

Just like in the final game, Freddie laughs each time he moves. ALWAYS keep track of where he is. If you can’t find him in any of those cams, go to the garage camera and use the scan button to make a bright flash happen to scare Freddie away.

Now i know you can't really see him that well here but if you look closely you can see another animatronic behind Freddie.
This goober ladies and gentlemen is Richie the racoon!

For real, ogs out there, you might know that in the Dako interview, Scot mentioned that before coming up with Foxie, he originally wanted to have a raccoon animatronic. But the design for him ended up looking more like a fox, so he went with that. It’s really cool that he’s still in the beta and that he had a model to begin with, real cool stuff.
I don't really anything else to say so time for the final night.

You know… I never really thought about it, but yeah, NWAF’s story really is grim kids being murdered and stuffed into suits by a psychopath. Especially compared to Scot’s previous games like Desolate Dream and Chopper and Co.
Let’s just see what phone bro has to say.
He finally tells us what’s probably causing all of this to happen. On our first night, he brought up that birthday party that went really bad, all the way back.
During the party, the animatronics randomly bugged out and the power went out. Kids were screaming, adults were running around, and the staff were doing everything to keep people calm.
By the time they got the power running again, the birthday boy was GONE, nowhere to be seen. Also, the previous night guard missed his shift too, which is weird, ’cause he never missed any other day.
So people started to fill in the blanks and realized he caused all this, so they started a manhunt.
Everything going wrong the characters moving, the weird sounds all of it really has one answer to why it’s happening… and I bet you can guess what that answer is…..
goodluck
no one new becomes active this night so perfect time to talk about what i think of the gameplay especially compared to the actual released version and it's really good like REALLY good i fucking love just how much the cams are used for every single character it really does make them feel a lot more important everyone works together so well and also the game is just pure fast paced fun just like nwaf 2 there's never a dull boring moment here at all now i might sound a bit crazy here even though i love the nwaf 1 we actually got to death i think i might like this version just a littttttle more i already know i'm gonna get a lot of hate for this but whatever we beat night 5 and get our paycheck

Before i end todays guide/review there's one last thing we need to do and that's overtime.....

And returned they did! without a further ado let's see what's awaiting us......
We do get a phone call, but it's not by phone, bro. It's by some company higher up, talking about the hidden room in the bathroom. They've heard a lot of noises coming out from there, even though it should be impossible. The higher ups checked it for themselves, and they didn't hear a single thing. So, as punishment, they end up docking the employees' paychecks. Wow, what assholes.
After the phone call ends a really loud noise happens let's just check the cams and who the fuck is that bruh.

Gamers this is the Jailbird aka the killer aka the one pulling the string.s

Despite having a really raw design his mechanic is kinda lame.
whenever you hear the garage opening everyone else stops you have to stop whatever you were doing and just open and close the cams till he slowly but surely comes into your office

that's uh kinda all i have to say about overtime and the jailbird they're both cool i just wish he had a way better mechanic i guess he works well with the other characters
We get another check and a note by Scot thanking us for playing the game and how to get into the games debug mode.

and yeah that's about all i have to say about the beta overall this was such a cool ass experience getting to finally playing this beta after hearing about it all those years ago in the interview was so cool
and the fact it ends up being actually good and fun is real awesome as i said i think this is better than the nwaf we actually got but i still love both of them the build get's a 9/10 from see yall later at the grand reopening....
