The game may have several bugs, especially in the parts of passing from one level to another.
Hello everyone, I hope you are well. As you read yes, my first game and first FNaF fangame is already out, you can download it in the Gamejolt page of the game. And well... I've been through a lot creating this game, I would have loved to have had a development team behind this but it wasn't possible and yes, everything was done by only one person, that's me hahaha anyway, it was fun to create this game as frustrating, the frustrating part was already coming to me, never before in my life I had created a game and much less with the magnitude of this game. Programming this was hell for me, a person who had never seen or known anything about the game before but, I tried and here we are, releasing my first game. From the beginning I always wanted to make a horror game, my favorite genre for games is horror/horror but, it's a shame to see how current horror/horror games are falling in the same formula, and causing that little by little the horror game genre is taken as a joke in the long run. Yeah that's why I said that my game wasn't going to have the same crap that all current horror games have. And that's how I created this game, using all my knowledge to create tension and terror to the player. Please understand, it's the first game I make in my life, yes, I'm using it as an excuse in case the game is not good enough as expected, but really you can criticize the game as you want, ignoring that it's my first game, I accept the criticism towards it.
How was "The Afton's Register" born?
July 30, 2023, more or less was when a friend and I took the initiative to create an analog horror series based on FNaF, this would be called "The Afton's Register". Currently there is only one chapter of this series uploaded, and it is on the official channel of "DIF Studios", the studio behind the whole saga of "The Afton's Register". This video was originally called simply "The Afton's Register [FNAF/VHS]" but, it was changed to "The Investigation" I didn't want that video to be related to the game as such, and that's why I changed it although, as a fact now the video is called "The Invetigation", the same as the first chapter of the game. Everything we had planned for that analog horror series will be used for the saga of chapters of the game, I felt that the story of the series fit better if it was told in a game where you could move and interact with things and that's why I decided to make a playable VHS tape, this saga of games will put you in the skin of a VHS tape of FNaF Playable. And yes that's how I mixed all the story I had for the analog horror series into a game where you control everything that happens to the character that is recording those tapes.
How was your experience creating "The Afton's Register"?
I always wanted to do this but, I never knew where to start. FNaF is my favorite game saga ever made and what better than making a Fangame of that saga as my first game project. The programming of this game was something complicated because I repeat, it is the first time in my life that I play a videogame graphic engine, and unfortunately I had to do everything myself, well, 90% of the things to tell the truth. I already found someone to help me to program the next chapter of the game and make a much more extensive and bigger chapter than the previous one, expect big things for the next chapter seriously. Learning to program games is one of the things that interests me the most at the moment and every day I learn new things in Unreal Engine programming. And on the one hand it's good that I had to make the whole game, I learned a lot of things, not only about programming in UE.
What is "The Afton's Register"?
The Afton's Register is an FNaF fangame that will tell throughout the chapters the history of FNaF in a much more mature and excalofriante way, giving the story a much more cinematic and unique aspect to it. Here you put yourself in the shoes of "Daniel" a police worker, his boss calls him and tells him what he has to do in his next mission, he has to investigate the local "Freddy's Fazbear Pizzeria", which was abandoned weeks ago, the reasons for its closure ... that's what Daniel has to investigate.
