The metal chest holds 25 items and will most likely only be available after reaching Level 1, but if that needs to be pushed back I'll add it to Level 0 next update instead. A wooden chest may be crafted with planks, bolts and hinges, but it only holds 8 objects, making it no better than the bag on your player.
