Insanity, Anyone? (Coming Soon)


Hey all! I'm sorry for my inactivity on here but as some of you might know I've been very busy as of recently! I've taken up a project with a devteam, working with some very talented and cool people :) I can't say a lot about what I'm doing but I can give you a dang update on this.

The new build of the game should be coming out very soon! It's not as complete as I wanted it to be (because of what I previously mentioned) and its more so to just get what I have out into the world so I don't have regrets later; and the game will still be finished at some point, just... When I have more free time. :P

Some things that are coming are below, take a peep if you'd like :D

+Added Elevators + Keycards: Craft a Keycard to use the Elevators 3 times either to travel or to escape a chase. Since they're handmade, they don't react well to the high voltage in the keycard scanners. But thankfully, with only some duct tape, a circuit board, and some paper, you can craft a new one!

+Ammo Bag system: load up your pouch with any ammo you find around the place and strike back! Different shotgun shells give different effects, and Incendiary rounds are your best bet.

+More food

+Added Sanity; excluding The Whistler (the monster that forms out of insanity is unfinished as of now) You can regenerate sanity by relaxing in the stranger's outposts at rooms 50 and 100. Alternatively, you can put the props you've found around the complex to use and build some kind of base or shelter out of one of the rooms! The more built props near the player, the more secure you'll feel and the more sanity you'll regenerate.

+Added The Shrieker, a noise sensitive monster capable of quickly killing the player.

+Added Microphone Input to The Engorger and The Shrieker; stay quiet!

+Added Game Over screen with Scores

+Added some story stuff

-Endings not yet added :( Couldn't be finished in time but we're close to that point

-Saving not included; memory issues appeared to have a big presence when loading a save and Elevators wouldn't work with savefiles. Will figure out and add saving eventually! :)

+Fixed countless instances of monsters getting stuck

+Revamped inventory

+Added Metal Chest - store up to 25 items!

+Crafting Rework WIP (When finished this system will allow full substitutions for items so specific items aren't needed when others work fine)

-Farming not included; I'm not sure if I teased this but I wanted hydroponic farming in the game for growing vegetables and it'd work hand and hand with the cooking system that's eventually coming too!

-Cooking not included; the ingredients have all been added to the game but they are all just that: ingredients for dishes. You'll find that food is a lot less filling on its own. Soon, you'll be able to merge items together to make some semblance of a proper meal.
