The Factory | Version 1.4.13

This update brings balance changes, optimisations and bug fixes!


Changelog:

New

  • Added NightThemeBDClean as a new song for Custom Night.

  • Added new loading screen.


Changes

  • Replaced hidden area music with a more accurate song.

  • Removed Alden's secondary positions, no more Alden sneaking up on the player during maintenance.

  • Optimised static positioned character scripts.

  • Office light properly flickers on and off.

  • Increased look lerp speed.

  • A.B.S. has been given a new model, it previously looked like a bevelled cube.

  • Static will look a bit more like actual static.

  • Lowered quality of all textures, you aren't looking at them up close.

  • Tweaked the leaving the office animation, it didn't look right. Same goes for the entering office animation.

  • Night 7 power drain has been changed to be more lenient. Now it won't be like Night 6, it's more like Night 3 - 4.

  • Most animatronic pupils won't glow unless close to the office. Harder to see them now.

  • Game icon has been updated to look similar to the loading screen.

  • Screen space reflections and global illumination have been removed, the game looks good without them.

  • Ambience during tasks were too loud.

  • Night 4 task safe was too low.

  • Night 5 task repairing has been modified to include more randomness.


Bugs

  • Multiple cameras were used for the security cameras. Removed all but one, this will move between security camera positions.

  • Fixed camera rotation issues, it will rotate along the camera pivots correctly.

  • Controls didn't show when you clicked the main menu button. I remember this working before, not sure what happened.

  • Fixed environmental lights being too bright.

  • Fixed issue with characters not being able to move backwards to create a more random pattern.

  • Office light point light didn't turn off when the office light was off.

  • Door lever lights weren't shown correctly.

  • Cameras would be seen rotating to their starting rotation when beginning the game.

  • Animatronic spotted sound no longer plays if they are behind a closed door, suspenseful. Are they there? Are they not?

  • Fixed Sofi door bug, after running the wooden doors wouldn't return back to their original rotations.

  • Could interact with door levels, light switches and A.B.S. when using cameras.

  • Motion blur has been removed, it was creating weird artifacts.

  • Night 3 task footstep sounds now have stereo panning again, this was changed to be a 3D sound earlier. It made things more difficult than it should have been.

  • Certain lights were leaking through floors, preventing certain effects.

  • Night 3 tasks hint didn't fully disappear.

  • Vent cameras were moved for some reason. I don't remember doing this, they should all be back to normal.

  • Night 5 task character didn't animate properly.

Updated the chest in the maze, adding sound, particles and better animation. But what's in the chest?

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
