Game
SCP: Management

The final post.

It has been a long time since I last made an update about the development, and in this post I am going to explain why, and announce the fate of SCP: Management.

I started this project 2 years ago, perhaps even 3, as I had the idea long before the gamejolt page was setup.

In these 2 or 3 years, a lot has changed, ideas regarding the game, people interested in the game, the game engine, and more.

I haven't had motivation and put any work into the project for a long time, and I still don't have motivation for it.

The reason no updates have been made for awhile, is because I was trying to figure out what I would do with this game, whether I would work on it now and just power through to finish it, cancel it, or put it on an indefinite hiatus.

I have now made that choice.

Over this entire development period, alot of things have happened, the game goes on hiatus, gets taken out of hiatus, no work gets done, repeat. The game has even switched universes, twice.

This was a difficult decision, but it has been made.

it is permanent, and in the minutes after this post goes live, I will set the gamejolt development status cancelled, and leave it alone, for good this time.

One last thing.

I am not just done with SCP: management, but I am done with game development in it's entirety.

I will no longer make new games, or continue to even be active on this account. This was an even more difficult decision to make, but it is also done.

Goodbye SCP fans, and with it, the gamejolt website.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

I worked so hard to get all four of them to the end safely, but then...
