WHY DID YOU DO THIS?
One day... sometime in July 2023, little Dorm... okay, maybe not LITTLE Dorm saw this:
An actual solid explanation on how the FNaS endos are. Yeah that's right, an actual solid explanation on how the FNaS endos are.
This formed the basis on what I was about to do.
DESIGNING DAH ENDOS.
So first, these designs are very much a mix of actual Ian ideas and then me explaining bullshit like why does the Endos flipflop between being grey tubes with lines and solid pieces with joints depending on how Ian was feeling that day. And so on and so forth.
This is the initial sketch I made for the endos. With some of the text removed 'cause it's some explanations and crap that'll get into later on. I started with Sonic, then did Mario, then BT. Obviously I had a hard time with BT. I hate that shroom head. Then at some point I decided to draw these more properly and do Tails and Yoshi.
And this is the explainer.
Basically we got 2 layers, the base layer which takes basis in the N.T. Endos being more solid limbs and PBT and Toymare with his broken nose and the TM hallucination neck thing in SS's mouth.
Then there's the second layer which is what Mario is showing off. These takes basis in things like WTS having a white dot in his eyes sometimes, or the back room poses of the W. Toys which show the white dot not be there and and then anyone with normal eyes had the whites darken. Then the grey tubes which can appear on their own or with the solid limbs, this happens everywhere, it'd be hard to pinpoint just the one pose. Then eyelid cover just came from how many times Ian couldn't keep what eye lid color the broken eyes were. I like to imagine the eyelids sometimes just roll into the back of the head and they roll back into place and then back again cause of how shitty the robots are.
Then there's the prongs of WTY. I had no way to explain and neither did Ian considering NTY has the 3 cylinders go up into the rest of her body but to remain consistent with what was said in the deviant art thing, they're now prongs that connect into the lower part of the pelvis. Aka an plug and an outlet or more accurately when I was doing it... a Lego piece.
TL:DR
I designed endos based on a question Ian answered back in 2018 and using his various drawings plus some personal interpretation just to make it all work. And this took 9 months... well more like a week then followed by another with a pause for a lot of weeks. Still, a baby was born in that time which is crazy.
FINISHING PARAGRAPH
I might try to do more things like these in the future if I find stuff that weren't really explored in FNaS. Maybe the Clone equivalent to Endo 01 but that require things finding more stuff like that deviantart question. Maybe just throw some ideas in the comments if you want to see Ian FNaS styled stuff. I can do pretty much any style from 1 and 2-4. 5 can suck it though.
