The future of Chicken Island


The demo for Chicken Island released a whole week earlier than I expected it to, but i kinda had finished all the content and didn’t rlly know what to do before the release.

As y’all can see, the game is far from finished:

There are only 2 unique areas, which have a pretty linear path and only a couple of collectables on the way.

I’ll plan on realizing a small update to the demo on the 27 of July, which will implement player feedback, make balancing changes, fix bugs and add a couple new features.

At some time in August, an update will release which will make the demo less linear and by adding more paths and things the players can do within the 2 areas that already exist.

I can’t really tell when the full release is gonna happen, but it’ll probably be late 2025 to early 2026.

NPCs and Textboxes are new features in the game, however, they'll probably not be implemented in the upcoming 0.3 Update, but will be a central feature of the 0.4 Update

The game can now be played in a range of different resolutions form 1080p to 240p.
