It has been around 2 weeks since the launch of the Supa Hot Funkin demo and the response has been extremely positive. Thank you all so much for the support these past 2 weeks. We really appreciate it.

The original plan was to release this demo to drum up enough interest and get enough criticism to focus on the full version of the mod and get it out as a full week, maybe with bonus stuff, but we weren't sure.

However, it has been recently brought to our attention that Deshawn Raw, the creator of Supa Hot Fiya, is making NFTs of the character now. On behalf of the mod team, everyone is 100% against this decision.

The question was brought up within the mod team and we have made the decision to continue the mod, as we feel like it will be disappointing a lot of you who want to see more out of it. Additionally, too much has been planned and too much is out there already for us to simply scrap the project. Do not take this as us supporting the NFTs. We have no respect for Supa Hot's creator when it comes to this decision.

Additionally, the mod will no longer be JUST focused on Supa Hot Funkin. Multiple other meme characters will be added to the mod as bonus songs. Kiinda similar to Sonic.exe, which went through a pretty similar problem now that I think about it.

TLDR;

The mod is still being developed, even though Deshawn is making NFTs. But not only does absolutely no one on the team support this decision, we are also decentralizing the project FROM supa hot fiya, even when he's getting new stuff. We hope you understand this decision, and are excited for the future of Supa Hot Funkin!
